GoodReads Synopsis:

“One handywoman.
One single dad.
One set of twins.
And the wall isn’t the only thing being drilled…
I learned the hard way that being a handywoman isn’t easy. The questions, the stares—the assumption I’m the proud owner of a cock and balls. Not that it matters. I’ve proven over and over that I’m ready for anything the judgmental asses throw at me.
Except the hot, single dad of twins who just moved to town.
Brantley Cooper gets the shock of his life when I show up on his doorstep to fix up his kids’ new rooms. His son is confused why ‘the pretty lady has a drill,’ and his daughter has a new obsession—me.
On paper, my job is easy. Go in, do their bedrooms, and leave.
In theory, I’m spending eight hours a day with a guarded, sexy as hell guy, and I’m staying for dinner more often than I’m eating it alone, on my couch, with Friends re-runs.
I shouldn’t be staying for dinner. I shouldn’t be helping him out with the twins. I shouldn’t be falling in love with tiny toes and dimpled cheeks.
And I most definitely should not be kissing my client.
Oops…
MISS FIX-IT is a brand-new, standalone romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author, Emma Hart, who brought you BEING BROOKE and CATCHING CARLY.

My Review

Kali Hancock is a handy woman looking for her Mr. Right or Mr. Right now but after a long list of bad dates she feels like giving up. Her life gets turned upside down when she takes on the new family in town as clients. Her rules get broken, her heart gets tested and she questions what she wants out of life.

Brantly Cooper is a single dad to a set of twins who is trying to balance parenting and work. He moved to Rock Bay for a fresh start and wasn’t expecting hiring someone to work on his house would change his life.

Lets not forget Elijah and Eleanor!!  These two munchkins are absolutely adorable. Eli is a shy super hero in training and Ellie is a princess with attitude. They add laughter to the story and more than a few heart melting moments.

“Okay. There is Sofia the First, Peppa Pig, Calliou—” “We’re not awowed to watch Cawiou,” Eli said softly. “Daddy said he’s naughty.” Ellie nodded enthusiastically. “Daddy said Cawiou is a little shit.” I froze.”

The angsty built up between Brant and Kali was hot and sometimes awkward haha. The sex was intense and passionate. Brants teasing that followed just to see her blush was adorable 💕

” I was consumed with the taste of him—consumed with the way I felt when we kissed. Kissing him made me feel like all my nerve endings were fireworks, and every kiss was a fuse burning down until, finally, everything exploded, blinding me with the intensity.”

“He shook his head. Then, with strength that shouldn’t have surprised me, he gripped my waist and pushed me back toward the table. “What are you doing?” “Ssssh,” he whispered, pushing me until my butt bumped the edge. He picked me up, sitting me on the edge, and stepped between my legs. “Shut up and let me kiss you.”
Overall I enjoyed Miss Fix It by Emma Hart. Will I read the next book she writes? Of Course! Her characters are always relatable in some way, and her sense of humor is on point!
