I Flipping Love You (Shacking Up #3) by Helena Hunting _ Book Review

Rian Sutter grew up with the finer things in life. Spending summers in The Hamptons was a normal occurrence for her until her parents lost everything years ago. Now Rian and her sister are getting their life, and finances, back on track through real estate. Not only do they buy and sell houses to the rich and famous, but they finally have the capital to flip their very own beachfront property. But when she inadvertently catches the attention of a sexy stranger who snaps up every house from under her, all bets are off…

Pierce Whitfield doesn’t normally demo kitchens, install dry wall, or tear apart a beautiful woman’s dreams. He’s just a down-on-his-luck lawyer who needed a break from the city and agreed to help his brother work on a few homes in the Hamptons. When he first meets Rian, the attraction is undeniable. But when they start competing for the same pieces of prime real estate, the early sparks turn into full-blown fireworks. Can these passionate rivals turn up the heat on their budding romance—without burning down the house?

I FLIPPING LOVE YOU, set in the Shacking Up world, follows two people, both working in real estate, who find themselves vying for the same properties in the Hamptons, leading to a sometimes-not-so-friendly competition.

I Flipping Love You is the 3rd book in the Shacking Up series can be technically read as a stand alone. I almost did just that but at the last minute decided to binge read the first two books plus the novella in the span of two days and I have no regrets!

Helena Hunting is fantastic at developing characters you can’t help but love. Rian is a girl who doesn’t acknowledge her own beauty and is full of attitude and sass. Her sister is her number one priority, and she keeps her hurt locked up tight. Her past has left her with major trust issues and a lack of confidence. Pierce is damn sexy and he knows it. He is trying to change his current career path and trying to find something that will make him happy.

Neither Rian or Pierce are looking for a relationship when their paths cross but the sparks are undeniable. The banter back and forth when they are together is funny and the sexual tension and chemistry is intense. Pierce knows exactly how to push her buttons, and she can dish it right back.

“That wasn’t very nice.” A tremor runs through her.
“The part where I saved you from the dangerous seaweed, or the part where you dragged me into the water . Or are you referring to me kissing you ? Because I thought that was very, very nice, actually.”

I Flipping Love You was a great addition to the series and I hope she continues to write more. I wouldn’t mind reading books about Rians sister or Pierces brother in the future. I definitely recommend this book and the others in the Shacking Up series to rom-com readers!
