Bayside Heat by Melissa Foster is the perfect romance beach read. I myself live in the Boston area and it has been over 20 years since I have stepped foot on Cape Code but now I have an urge to go visit. Being a Boston local and knowing most of the places mentioned made this such a fun read for me.
I loved the bond between Serena and Drake. Their connection was visible from the very start of the book and the sexual tension was off the charts. He is protective and only wants the best out of life for Serena and wants her to follow her dreams first and foremost. The last thing he wants is to hold her back. Serena only wants two things in life, to be successful and to be with Drake. When a new job and moving to the city causes Drake to stop fighting his attraction for her, they are perfect together. Drake is my favorite type of male lead, sweet with just the right amount of rough in the bedroom. One of the hottest scenes in the book consists solely of foreplay with a surprising amount of clothing still in place and it left me hot and bothered.
Bayside Heat was filled with fun, friendship, lust and passion. A great read that will leave you with a smile on your face and a craving for donuts 🍩
