It will take a Christmas miracle to melt her heart.
Resort developer Madison Lane is about to lose the one thing she loves most in the world—her job. Dubbed “The Grinch Who Killed Christmas,” Madison spoiled a deal that would turn quaint Christmas, Colorado, into a tourist’s winter wonderland. Now the citizens want her fired but the company gives her one last chance, sending Madison to the small town to restore the holiday cheer.
For Sheriff Gage McBride, no hotshot executive from New York City is going to destroy the dreams of the people he loves. But one look at this beautiful woman and it’s his heart that may be broken. In just a few days, Madison causes more trouble than he’s had to deal with all year. He can’t decide if she’s naughty or nice, but one thing is for certain—Christmas will never be the same again…

The Trouble with Christmas is the first book in the Christmas, Colorado series by Debbie Mason.
Madison Lane does not like Christmas at all and she dislikes small towns just as much, when both hold nothing but bad memories for her. When she finds herself in the small town of Christmas trying to save her job she is less than thrilled. The universe seems to be against her before she even enters the town and she ends up spending more time there than planned. The last thing she expects is to fall for the hot Sheriff Gage McBride, his two wonderful daughters and the rest of the town. Things are far from easy for Madison and Gage but when something is worth having you don’t give up on it.
The Trouble with Christmas checked off a lot of my romance favorites. Small town romance✔ Matchmaking family members✔ Hot cop ✔ Single dad✔ Sexual tension✔ Steamy kisses✔ I actually loved almost everything about this novel, my only disappointment was that the actual sex scenes happened off the pages. There is some amazing lead up to sex scenes, and then they ended and the story continues after the fact. I just feel like the actual love making between Madison and Gage could have been beautiful.
A great holiday romance with a fantastic cast of characters and I already want to dive into the second book, Christmas in July !
“She tangled her fingers in his hair, absorbing his heat and woodsy scent. The warm, seductive slide of his lips over hers turned fierce and hungry. He was as desperate for her, it seemed, as she was for him.”
” he remembered their kiss, and how that small taste of her, the feel of her in his arms, left him wanting a hell of a lot more”
4.5/5 🌟
