Marrying Mr. Valentine by Lauren Barnard is a great valentines’ day romantic comedy!
Nadine is great at her job as a wedding planner. She puts all her focus into her job and caring for others to distract from her painful past and current sadness. When her newest clients include a charming handsome man and a cold rude woman she knows she has her work cut out for her. This is an important wedding but what is she to do when the groom isn’t happy about the wedding, and she finds her self caring more about him than she should.
I loved Nadine’s character right from the start. She was caring, passionate, and strong. Hartley Valentine slowly grew on me but I definitely found him as sweet as Nadine did. Somehow this book manages to be really sad and hilarious at the same time. It will have you laughing out loud and then punches you in the feels the next chapter. There is one scene with Nadine at the bar, and she’s had a few too many drinks and things turn to shit, literally 😂 I died laughing and told my husband what happened and made him laugh too 😂😂
Overall, Marrying Mr. Valentine by Lauren Barnard is a great rom-com filled with a range of emotions and a happily ever after.
“I let him know in our kiss how long I’ve wanted to do this, how much I’ve held myself back,”
” Why is it the one man who seems to have the key to unlock my heart already belongs to another?”
