About THE LAST WINGMAN
Jonah Kingston is the last wingman standing.
June Moxee doesn’t care if he’s the last man on earth.
I haven’t exactly avoided relationships, but love has never been a priority. Solitude doesn’t bother me and being alone doesn’t mean being lonely. Until she moved to the island and I had to reconsider everything.
June seems content running her yarn shop, knitting with the local church ladies, and avoiding me. She’s a temptress in a handknit sweater. And for some reason, she’s not a fan of mine. It might be the tattoos. Or the beard. Or the fact that we’re polar opposites.
A woman has finally caught my attention. Too bad she thinks she hates me.
Good thing I’m stubborn enough to try to change her mind.
The Last Wingman is the sixth standalone, lighthearted small town romance in the Wingmen series. You do not have to read the previous books first to enjoy this book.

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]
“We’re not exactly friends, but I don’t think we’re enemies either, This thought makes me happy.“
The Last Wingman by Daisy Prescott is the final edition to her Wingman series. It can be read as a standalone, since each book focuses on a different couple.
Jonah with his tattoos, piercings and multiple business adventures tends to stay clear of relationships even though all his friends around him have found significant others. People tend to judge him by his looks and that happens to be the case with yarn store owner June. He is determined to get her to like him by showing her that he is way different from what meets the eye. For every opposite preference he finds something they have in common, but can June let her walls down long enough to see the good under his hipster exterior.
This dislike to love romance is filled with crass knitting puns, nerdy greatness and Harry Potter lovin’. My inner fan girl was geeking out left and right between Jonah and June. Jonah was swoon worthy with his good looks and big heart. June was adorable but I took a little while to warm up to her. Her constant judging of everything Jonah did or said got old after a while. They were really great together when June loosened up a bit, even their love making was sweet and caring. Another thing I love about this series is the fact thats its told completely from the point of view of the male lead. I love seeing it from a male’s prospective and having them be as flustered over crushes and nervous over first kisses as females can be.
It’s bittersweet feeling having finished the very last Wingman novel. This group of characters with their beards, quirky uniqueness and cheeky humor has become family. The Wingman series is one I will be rereading again in the future to say hello to old friends.
“There’s no other side. Just me.“ […] “Same Jonah. I’m multi-layered. Like a cake. Or a seven layer dip.“ “June?“ I tip her chin up with my index finger.
“You’re not an idiot. You’re beautiful, inside and out. Smart, funny, a little perverted. I like you. All of you.“
