[I received a digital arc for an honest review]

I’ll chase ye to the ends of the earth but only if I know you want it.

Mathilda Storm will do anything to take over responsibility for her younger sister even if that means entertaining the idea to enter into a marriage of convenience with her fathers business partner. She’s at the point where she doesn’t see any other choice, but an instant connection to the charming Scottish highlander Callum has her second guessing things. She gave up on fantasy and a dream romance a long time ago to become the practical plan ahead person she is today. Callum is everything she could want in a man, but she has to find a way to follow her heart and still protect her sister.

here I am, waiting on your every word since I first laid eyes on ye. Fate keeps throwing us together. We ought to listen.

I really enjoyed so much about Storm The Castle. It had all the aspects I loved about a certain time traveling romance *cough cough* Outlander *cough cough* but it wasn’t a million pages long nor dragged down with historical facts. It gave me the sense of family pride, Scottish brogue , strong men, romance and all the swoon moments my heart desired. Laird Callum McRae stole my heart and I don’t want it back. He was stubborn, loyal and wore his heart on his sleeve. A family man who was honest though a bit blunt at times by not thinking before he spoke. Mathilda was a fantastic leading heroine. She was smart and independent, she knew when to take charge to see things accomplished. I liked her immediately as she tried her hardest to help her sister but still stay true to herself. Together their chemistry was intense yet tender and passionate. I loved getting to see the intimate scenes from both their prospective, it made it that much more intimate.

One look from her, one touch of her hand, and I’m toast. Done for.

Overall, I think Storm The Castle was a fabulous debut novel by Jolie Vines. I am already anxiously awaiting the next two books in the series. I need both James and Gordain to find happily ever afters !!

Callum McRea, with his honor, big heart, and even bigger frame, was far too addictive for just one day.
