Sunny Burke is the all-American life of the party. The golden boy everybody loves, a talented cowboy, and the man who warms my bed at night.
In rodeo circles, they call Kai Hunt ‘Frost’ because of his determination to win and his icy exterior. He’s never made it a secret he can’t stand his best friend’s girl. Aka, me.
Then the three of us got into a car and everything changed.
Because only two left it alive.
In the aftermath, I slink back home to my little country town to lick my wounds. Yet fate has other plans. When a job offer rolls in, the assignment is simple. Tour the US on the pro bull riding tour. Write down the riders’ secrets, and then share them with the world in a weekly gossip column.
But how can I go, when he’ll be there? The man who’s avoided me ever since the accident. He’s made it clear how he feels about me, and what happened that night.
What does it matter if his gaze sets my body on fire?
What does it matter if my heart screams that he’s it? He’s the one.
Not when there’s more than just the ghosts of that night keeping us apart.
Secrets, racial tensions, and heart-stopping action explode in this BWWM interracial romance. High angst and super sexy scenes make Ride Dirty, Cowboy an unmissable addition to Elle Thorpe’s Dirty Cowboy series.
Can be read as a standalone, and contains a complete romance with a happily ever after.

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]
Ride Dirty, Cowboy in the second book in Elle Thorpe’s Dirty Cowboy series. The book can be read as a stand alone but the characters are introduced in the first book and carry over from there. Plus the first book is quality, so I recommend reading Talk Dirty, Cowboy if you haven’t already.
Our two main characters start this book off by both having lost someone dear to them. When the two are forced into spending months together they have to face their feelings, the past and their futures. Being together will be far from easy, and they will have to overcome ghosts from the past and family prejudices.
“I stared back into her eyes, and this time, I saw something different behind the fire.
Everything I’d ever wanted to see in her eyes was right there, begging for me to take.”
Addie is such a fantastic character. She is strong, resilient, smart and kind even in the face of ugliness. Our leading man is just as wonderful character. He’s faithful, brave, caring and loves with his whole heart. In the bedroom he has a domineering side that’s surprising (and hot as hell 🔥) for someone who is a such a gentleman outside the sheets. Together they are fiery and perfect compliments to each other. The two do not have an easy road to get down but it’s worth it.
“I’m saying that all I think about is kissing you. Being with you. Wrapping you in my arms and holding you, because I feel like that’s the only way I’m ever going to be whole.”
Ride Dirty, Cowboy is an interracial romance that deals with some ugly realities. Overall, It’s well done and it has some amazing angst and romance that will leave you wanting a bull rider of your own.
