She’s prepared for anything… except for the second chance with her cowboy ex she never saw coming.
Feisty Red, an all-new spicy second-chance romance from USA Today bestselling author Stacey Kennedy, is available now!
Clara Carter is the brains behind Three Chicks Brewery. The oldest and most responsible of the Carter sisters, she doesn’t have time for anything but taking care of her son and making sure her family’s top beer, Foxy Diva, gets into bars across North America. Which means getting the brew in front of Colorado’s biggest beer distributor. Unfortunately, that becomes tricky when the man in charge of distribution is none other than Sullivan Kenne, the cowboy who ran out on her seven years ago.
Sullivan’s life has been filled with one wrong move after another. First, he tried to prove himself to his bastard father by joining a professional baseball team, a choice Sullivan still regrets. Then he bailed on Clara, the only woman he’s ever loved. Seeing her again makes Sullivan determined to right his wrongs. Unfortunately, he wasn’t counting on one of those wrongs being a six-year-old son he never knew about…
Reuniting with Clara and meeting his son is a shocking—and amazing—experience. But as much as Sullivan tries to return to his roots and be the stand-up cowboy of Clara’s dreams, the reality is that she’s having trouble trusting him. Luckily, Sullivan knows the way to Clara’s heart, and he’ll prove to her that a second chance with a cowboy is worth the risk.

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]
Feisty Red is the third book in the Three Chicks Brewery by Stacey Kennedy. While each book follows one of the sisters they can be enjoyed as stand alones.
This one follows Clara as she deals with the fathers of her son returning to her small town after being gone for 7 years. Small problem with that is that he doesn’t know he has a son. Sullivan walked out of River Rock to pursue his baseball dreams and escape his abusive father and breaking Clara’s heart in the process. He wasn’t in a healthy mental state back then as thought Clara better off without him. Since his fathers passing he’s return to face his demons and get his head on straight. Learning he has a son brings his future into clarity and what he wants for his life. He will have to work hard to rebuild Clara’s trust and make up for lost time. But when his life begins to have a negative impact on the two people he loves the most will he run again or fight for their future.
“He felt tied to her, grounded by their history and the affection between them.
Feisty Red was a sweet second chance romance with the right amount of steam. You could feel how much Clara and Sullivan cared for each other which made it confusing why neither one of them for the relationship they had. It seemed unbelievable that they let their connection just end the way it had. Their son was adorable and there were some really sweet family moments in the book between the three of them. I loved how Sullivan was working on his mental health for himself and the way he took responsibility for his behaviors. However, as a whole I did feel like the pacing was a bit fast between him, Clara and their son. I understand he was only there a month, and he was Masons father but I felt like he should have been more slowly introduced into his son life.
Feisty Red is filled with charming characters and that small town vibe. I’m really enjoying the bond between the Three Chicks Brewery sisters and I’m looking forward to seeing what is going to happen with the final sister after that epilogue!
