Author: Jillian Liota

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About The Start of Someday:

ABBY FULLER wants to have a little fun. Sure, she wants a relationship… someday. But for now, a little heat is exactly what the cold weather calls for. Breaking her own rules, she tumbles into bed with a handsome tourist passing through town…only to find him standing in her living room the following day. JACKSON PAGE is only in town for business. He isn’t expecting a sexy little something with the woman who hits on him at the bar, and he definitely isn’t expecting her to be the younger sister of the friend he’s visiting. Clearly, nothing more can happen between them…no matter how good they are together. But stolen moments and the magic of the holidays make it seemingly impossible for Abby and Jackson to ignore one very real truth: maybe their one night together could be the start of something more. A steamy holiday novella set in the Cedar Point series.

The Start of Someday
by Jillian Liota is a holiday novella set in her Cedar Point universe. If you haven’t read the prior two books no worries, but it will make you want to go back and read them.

Abby is used to being the good girl but decides for one night to let loose and hook up with a hottie at the bar. The morning after she finds out the hottie, Jackson, is a really close college friend of her brothers. Her brother Rusty raised her after their parents died, and he was there for Jackson when he needed him so when Rusty tells them he’s not okay with them hooking up they both step back. Except spending time together during the holidays and getting to know each other more just makes their connection grow stronger.

“That titter in her voice, the sparkle in her eye, the sheer joy on her face… I feel hooked.”

This was a perfect little holiday novella with just the right amount of steam and right amount of touching moments. Jillian Liota is excellent at writing strong female characters. Abby is fun but responsible, and she stands up for herself. I love her relationship with her friends and the way she kept her parent’s memories close to her heart. Jackson was a good compliment to her, but I felt he was a little forgettable. There wasn’t anything I disliked about him but nothing that stood out. But that didn’t take away from the fact that the intimate scenes between them were hot as hell.

“[…] our mouths dueling, eager, needy. That’s how he makes me feel. Needy. Like nothing I touch is enough. I just want more. More. More. More.”

The Start of Someday was a great addition to the Cedar Point series and I can’t wait for more books. I need Rusty to have a book soon please and thank you lol
