Mike Bravo. Knights in shining … camo.
I live for adrenaline. The thrill of the chase. And because I work for Mike Bravo, a private black-ops firm, it’s my job to go into dangerous situations.
But when we’re called in to extract a military team from a hostile situation, the thrill is so much better. Because one of those men happen to be the golden boy from my basic training days.
Brock “Saint” Harlow was a walking Captain America in the flesh. The perfect soldier.
Now my boss wants to recruit him, and I can’t wait to rub it in his face that he was rescued by me. The class clown.
I’m not called Iris “I require intense supervision” for nothing.
Military life is all I’ve known since I was born. I was raised to be a soldier.
But when a top-secret mission fails, I find myself suddenly discharged with nowhere to go.
Mike Bravo saved my life, and they want me to join them, but there’s one small problem.
Isaac “Iris” Griffin.
He’s as irresistibly snarky as he always was, only there’s a big difference this time. I’m no longer closeted or scared to live my truth. And the truth is, I’ve always wanted him.
It’s against Mike Bravo’s rules to fraternize with other team members, and I always follow orders.
But something tells me Iris might be worth the insubordination.

About the Author
Eden Finley is an Amazon bestselling author who writes steamy contemporary romances that are full of snark and light-hearted fluff.
She doesn’t take anything too seriously and lives to create an escape from real life for her readers. The ideas always begin with a wackadoodle premise, and she does her best to turn them into romances with heart.
With a short attention span that rivals her son’s, she writes multiple different pairings: MM, MMF, and MF.
She’s also an Australian girl and apologises for her Australianisms that sometimes don’t make sense to anyone else.

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]
Iris by Eden Finley is the first book in her new spinoff series Mike Bravo. Isaac “Iris” Griffin is the class clown who knows how to get the job done. As a crucial member of the Mike Bravo team he is assigned to help rescue a black ops team from overseas. He helps drag one of the fallen team from the danger and is shocked to find it is his nemesis from bootcamp Brock “Saint” Harlow. Only having lived a life serving, Saint finds himself shocked when the military drops him like a dirty secret. His only saving grace is Travis, owner of Mike Bravo, helps him heal and join up when he’s recovered. Saint never expects to be teamed up with Iris or to find comfort amongst the Mike Bravo team. He also never imagined he would be in a place to pursue Iris but as lines are crossed the two men must work through their demons to see if they can be teammates and so much more.
Isaac “Iris” Griffin knows a few things. He loves job and team at Mike Bravo, he is the best knife specialist they have and he is lonely without a romantic partner. He is a proud bisexual and has never hidden it even at basic where he originally met Saint. He could never keep up with Saint and assumed he was a straight homophobe always looking to show everyone up. Oh boy, was he wrong. He is unable to stop the surge of lust and emotions associated with saving Saint and seeing the out man he has come to be in the last ten years. He tries to keep it only physical but struggles to keep his feelings out of it as tries to support Saint through his transition to life with Mike Bravo.
He pulls me to him again, and I could stay here all day. Holding him. Cherishing him. Possibly even falling for him.
Brock “Saint” Harlow never expected for his military career to come to a screeching end leaving him unmoored and unable to recognize himself. He struggles to remember what happened in the mission and find solace in the comfort that Iris provides. He never expected Iris to have grown into the loving and supportive man he falls for. Iris’ unyielding support through not only the physical challenges but the mental and emotional ones leaves Saint with only one option, falling hard and fast. The two burn up the pages but balance the hot times with emotional support and domestic sweetness.
I love how worked up he gets, love how much he obviously craves my body – scars and all.
This book was an excellent balance of action, romance and found family goodness. The Mike Bravo team immediately opens their arms to Saint knowing that he is meant to be with them. Saint’s struggles with PTSD and body dysmorphia resulting from the ambush had you feeling for him and appreciating everything Iris and Travis were able to do for him. This is going to be a fun series and I look forward to seeing each member of the team find their HEA.
4.5 stars for Iris and Saint loving each other just the way they are.
